Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

• Create a cloud-native platform on public cloud services and automate the management of cloud resources.

• Collaborate with the ClickHouse core database development and security teams to deliver the SaaS product.

• Enhance cloud-service reliability and scalability by working on routing and traffic components.

• Utilize industry and distributed-systems best practices to boost availability.

• Design and implement security components and tools, including firewalls, PKI, certificate infrastructure, and zero-trust networks.

• Enhance infrastructure performance and optimize cost efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in the software development industry focused on building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.

• Proficiency in software development using Go, C/C++, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Background in developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes.

• Knowledge in developing cloud-native edge or service mesh services, ideally with Envoy and Istio.

• Proven experience in leading and delivering large-scale technical projects involving multiple skilled engineers.

• Understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Awareness of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with SOC2/GDPR standards.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global team.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and production debugging expertise.
