Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and construct robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

• Develop a cloud-native platform on public cloud services and automate the management of cloud resources.

• Work in collaboration with the ClickHouse core database development and security teams to create the SaaS offering.

• Create routing and traffic components to enhance the reliability and scalability of cloud services.

• Elevate availability by utilizing industry best practices and distributed-systems methodologies.

• Design and implement security components and tools, including firewalls, PKI and certificate infrastructure, and zero-trust networks.

• Optimize infrastructure performance and cost-effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in the software development industry focused on building and managing scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.

• Proficiency in software development using Go, C/C++, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Background in developing cloud infrastructure services, ideally with Kubernetes.

• Experience in creating cloud-native edge or service mesh services, preferably using Envoy and Istio.

• Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale technical projects with multiple skilled engineers.

• Understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, SOC2, and GDPR compliance standards.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global team.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and production debugging expertise.
