Senior Software Engineer, CDP – Money Movement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend systems and infrastructure that facilitate stablecoin-based financial transactions, including pay-ins, payouts, deposits, and withdrawals.

• Take ownership of key projects as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI), guiding them from the design phase to production while maintaining a high level of accountability.

• Create internal and external APIs that allow businesses and partners to seamlessly integrate stablecoin-powered payment solutions into their offerings.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Compliance to deliver effective and scalable solutions.

• Identify and address performance, scalability, and reliability issues within distributed systems.

• Provide mentorship to engineers on architectural best practices and contribute to enhancing the technical standards of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, focused on building and operating large-scale backend systems, preferably within fintech, payments, or cryptocurrency sectors.

• Proficiency in backend programming languages (such as Go, Java, or similar) and cloud infrastructure (like AWS, GCP), along with hands-on experience in designing distributed systems and APIs.

• A proven history of acting as DRI for intricate technical projects, guiding them from system design to production deployment.

• Experience in integrating with or creating blockchain or cryptocurrency technologies, such as stablecoins, on-chain payments, or smart contract platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Base).

• Strong capability to draft technical design documents and effectively communicate system architecture trade-offs to both product and engineering stakeholders.

• Employs generative AI responsibly, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs while driving measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

• Shows proficiency in the responsible use of generative AI tools and copilots (such as LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily operations, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning as tools evolve, and applying human-in-the-loop methodologies to achieve business-ready outputs and significant improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
