Senior Software Engineer, C#

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Create software applications and features utilizing established Agile processes, systems, and technologies, in accordance with designs and specifications provided by the Product Owner office.

• Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver software that is testable, scalable, high-performing, and resilient, all within agreed timelines.

• Estimate and monitor time for modifications and proposed tasks, while logging time to evaluate estimation precision.

• Generate and document technical designs.

• Ensure that UX/UI designs and implementations receive approval from the Product Owner office when necessary.

• Conduct peer and code reviews of fellow developers’ work, offering constructive feedback and requests for changes.

• Provide third-line support for business and client inquiries that necessitate knowledge of contributed code, data structures, or software behavior.

• Diagnose application issues and resolve defects.

• Mentor junior colleagues and document knowledge within established systems.

• Identify external training opportunities to sustain appropriate skill sets within the global team.

• Collaborate with a US-based software vendor to align technical solutions and ensure that delivered code satisfies acceptance criteria.

• Foster communication and collaboration throughout the global Ethixbase 360 organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience in an Agile product delivery framework.

• Profound understanding of .NET 6+, C# ecosystem, language features, and best practices.

• Proficient in ASP.NET Core (Web API / MVC).

• Familiarity with Entity Framework Core or Dapper for data access.

• Experience with Windows Server / IIS or Linux-hosted .NET applications.

• Knowledge of SQL Server or other relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Skills in software design, problem-solving, and debugging.

• Experience using AI and Claude in the software development lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of security principles, including CRA, and the use of SCA and SAST tools.

• Experience conducting code reviews and upholding best practices.

• Proficient in writing unit tests using frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, or Moq.

• Familiarity with version control using Git, GitHub, or GitLab.

• Ability to work North American business hours while based in Europe.

• Desirable: experience with microservices architecture and patterns.

• Desirable: knowledge of REST API design and development.

• Desirable: working experience with PHP.

• Desirable: familiarity with AWS, including SNS, SQS, Lambda, or API Gateway.

• Desirable: experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.

• Desirable: knowledge of SignalR, gRPC, or messaging queue patterns.

• Desirable: understanding of Docker and containerization.
