Senior Software Engineer – BE, Fullstack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create engaging experiences for millions of users across both mobile and web platforms.

• Design and implement scalable applications and services within a cohesive product and system architecture.

• Collaborate with product and UX teams to brainstorm and assess product features.

• Work alongside developers to devise solutions and impart technical skills.

• Contribute to development standards, enhance code quality, and drive engineering improvements.

• Implement automated testing and ensure the reliability of team services.

• Engage in on-call duties and manage incident responses.

• Assess and test emerging technologies.

• Assist colleagues in overcoming challenges, resolving blockers, and completing tasks.

• Architect and construct scalable systems utilizing service-oriented and event-driven architectures.

• Take part in pair programming sessions and virtual team collaborations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience leading substantial projects on high-scale, distributed software systems as a software engineer.

• Proficient in backend development using Node, Python, Golang, Ruby, or similar technologies.

• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or GCP Cloud SQL.

• Familiarity with database migrations, profiling, and optimization techniques.

• Practical experience in developing APIs and services for mobile applications and web clients at scale.

• Proven track record of delivering complex projects, including troubleshooting issues across multiple systems.

• Experience in designing and architecting APIs, event streams, and webhooks.

• Background in working with distributed systems.

• Additional consideration for services developed for livestreaming, advertising, or subscriptions.

• Must be a permanent resident of the United States.
