Senior Software Engineer – Backend, Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance technical solutions with an emphasis on quality, readability, and scalability, adhering to engineering best practices and standards.

• Independently plan and execute project deliveries, ensuring predictability and alignment with team priorities.

• Develop and maintain production systems, monitor applications, resolve incidents, and contribute to platform reliability, including managing asynchronous processing and queues.

• Engage in refinements, planning, and technical discussions, playing a role in architectural and implementation decisions.

• Collaborate through code reviews, share knowledge, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Investigate issues, suggest enhancements, and pursue ongoing learning opportunities.

• Foster clear, transparent, and collaborative communication, aligning expectations and promoting a high-trust, high-performance environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of robust experience in developing Web/SaaS applications utilizing Ruby on Rails.

• Strong understanding of Computer Science principles, including concurrency, performance, scalability, algorithms, data structures, and software engineering best practices.

• Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks, specifically RSpec.

• Experience in System Design and software architecture, contributing to the definition and development of scalable solutions.

• Preferred qualifications: experience with CI/CD pipelines; NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB; familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or XP); practice in TDD and Continuous Integration (CI).
