Senior Software Engineer, Backend – ML Feature Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Accountable for achieving and delivering quarterly objectives for your team.

• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to assist peers and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Proactively recognize and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business challenges, taking the lead in addressing them.

• Ensure the operations and accessibility of your team’s artifacts by creating and tracking relevant metrics.

• Cultivate a culture of quality and responsibility within your team by establishing or enhancing code review and design standards.

• Contribute to the growth of talent within your team by offering feedback and guidance while leading by example.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching scalable backend systems using programming languages such as Python or Kotlin.

• Proven experience in creating highly available distributed systems utilizing technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.

• Ability to define a technical strategy for delivering key features or system components with a design that is elegant, simple, and extensible.

• Skilled in implementing significant modifications within a large codebase, having developed a suite of tools and practices that enable you and your team to navigate these changes safely.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities that facilitate effective collaboration with our global engineering team.
