This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Kubernetes Deep-Dive: Collaborate closely with Kubernetes internals to expand the capabilities of container orchestration.
• Go Development: Develop high-performance, resilient Go code to drive the core functionality of the vCluster platform.
• End-to-End Ownership: Assume complete responsibility for your projects. You are self-motivated and able to manage feature development from technical design through to release without requiring constant supervision.
• Open Source Innovation: Participate in the community and contribute to our open-source initiatives. You will help shape the next generation of tenancy models, creating scalable solutions for isolation and resource sharing that go beyond basic namespaces.
• Technical Problem Solving: Address challenging engineering problems where solutions are not readily available, necessitating a deep understanding of systems architecture.
• Kubernetes Mastery: Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes internals. We appreciate a comprehensive understanding of how Kubernetes operates, including architectural patterns, networking, and storage.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong programming capabilities in Go. While expertise in Kubernetes is essential, you must also translate that knowledge into clean and efficient Go code.
• Builder Mindset: You engage in building projects outside of your professional work. You have active GitHub repositories, experiments, or contributions to open-source projects that showcase your enthusiasm for creation.
• High Agency: You are technically proficient and self-driven. You excel in environments where you are expected to identify and independently resolve issues.
• Start-Up Grit: Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth setting. You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and eager to make a significant impact.
• Bonus points for Community Contributions: A record of contributions to the Kubernetes project (Upstream), such as documentation enhancements, Pull Requests (PRs), or active involvement in Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
• Startup Experience: You have worked in an early-stage organization where you operated autonomously and aimed to build something remarkable.
