Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Contribute to all three backend systems: Search, Integrations, and Bookings.

• Develop and sustain the business logic for the Partner API integration layer.

• Manage inter-team requests from Pricing, FinTech, Content, and Data — clarifying the scope and driving towards solutions.

• Collaborate closely with the PM, frontend lodging team, and supplier integrations lead.

• Take ownership of projects from inception to completion: identify blockers, maintain momentum, and ensure delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development (such as Claude, Cursor, or similar) — we are broadening AI utilization across engineering.

• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS is preferred).

• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.

• A self-motivated working style — you thrive without needing daily guidance; you proactively seek out tasks and drive them forward.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity — cross-team requests often lack clear scope, and you know how to ask the right questions.

• Adaptability to changing priorities — the lodging sector is fast-paced, and plans can shift quickly.

• Experience with Node.js or Kotlin (either is a significant advantage given our technology stack).
