Senior Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of intricate software systems that support the organization's objectives.

• Provide technical guidance and actively participate in architectural decision-making.

• Ensure engineering solutions are of high quality, scalable, performant, and maintainable.

• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver dependable and efficient software that meets business requirements.

• Design and implement sophisticated systems.

• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of critical features.

• Shape the technical direction and practices of the team.

• Utilize AI in engineering efforts with a Claude Code premium license.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance sector.

• Over 5 years of experience developing production-ready APIs in C# using .NET 5 or later.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture in a containerized environment.

• Experience with cloud-based SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as other cloud services for building scalable applications.

• Proficiency in Git and GitHub for collaboration and code review.

• Experience in writing unit tests and automated integration tests (using Postman or similar tools).

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to debug issues and enhance system performance.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and engage in code reviews.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to ongoing improvement.
