
Senior Software Engineer – Autonomous and Unmanned Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create interfaces for the management of individual assets as well as extensive fleets of autonomous and unmanned systems.
• Design and execute data-rich user interfaces that illustrate real-time and distributed system states.
• Develop processes for deploying, updating, and monitoring systems in edge, remote, and offline environments.
• Manage complex state handling and asynchronous data flows.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, platform services, and communication technologies.
• Enhance usability and clarity in intricate operational workflows.
• Collaborate with UX to convert complex system behaviors into user-friendly experiences.
• Assess strategies for addressing complex technical challenges and pinpoint innovative solutions.
• Create and integrate software that ensures dependable operations in edge and remote settings.
• Implement infrastructure as code and assist in building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across various distributions, such as EKS and RKE2.
• Utilize secure software development methodologies, cloud-native deployment techniques, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure automation.
• Work in conjunction with backend, platform, product, and UX teams.
• Transform operational needs into technical solutions and contribute to the strategic vision of the Autonomous and Unmanned Systems portfolio.
• Over 5 years of experience in frontend or full-stack software development.
• Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks, particularly Svelte or React; familiarity with Angular or similar frameworks is also acceptable.
• Solid understanding of contemporary frontend tooling and best practices in build systems.
• Experience in frontend application testing methodologies.
• Proven experience in creating data-intensive or state-heavy applications.
• Strong grasp of API design and integration, including REST and GraphQL.
• Experience collaborating closely with backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for navigating complex systems.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with technical teams and operational end users.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Preferred: experience with RF communications, tactical radios, mesh networks, or distributed communication technologies.
• Preferred: experience integrating software with autonomous or unmanned systems.
• Preferred: experience in designing for constrained, disconnected, or unreliable networks.
• Preferred: experience with Special Operations or Department of Defense mission clients.
• Preferred: experience developing interfaces for infrastructure, DevOps, or platform systems.
• Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, or distributed systems.
• Preferred: experience with CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• Preferred: contributions to open-source or developer tooling projects.
