This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance backend services and APIs utilizing Go and Python.
• Construct and maintain cloud-native services across AWS and GCP, which includes data pipelines that support ML and risk models.
• Deliver features throughout the complete software development lifecycle by employing CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Address complex engineering challenges related to authentication, identity, and fraud prevention.
• Integrate AI/ML functionalities and productionize models into scalable, observable services.
• Leverage metrics, logging, tracing, and dashboards to diagnose production issues and enhance reliability and latency.
• Collaborate with engineering, test engineering, research, product, Protect, Passport, and Core teams.
• Engage in the on-call rotation, which includes after-hours notifications.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and design review processes.
• 5–7+ years of professional software development experience in building backend services and APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or comparable programming languages.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and Linux-based development.
• Practical experience designing and operating cloud-native systems within AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with managed services such as S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and IAM.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and production ownership.
• Proven ability to deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support live services.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across various functions.
• Capability to independently drive projects from design to production.
• Ability to effectively operate in security-sensitive, ambiguous, and high-stakes environments.
