Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical development for the AIM product line and associated projects.

• Generate software design and coding outputs to fulfill project requirements and timelines.

• Develop software according to established requirements and design specifications.

• Collaborate with the software team to enhance existing components and address client needs.

• Assist in design activities and conduct reviews.

• Evaluate code and system functionality.

• Adhere to engineering guidelines and established processes.

• Strive for continuous improvement in software quality.

• Travel to customer sites both domestically and internationally.

• Perform additional duties outside the primary role when required, with training provided.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in building scalable software solutions.

• Proficient in software design, implementation, debugging, and support.

• Familiarity with design patterns and RESTful API frameworks.

• Experience in applying data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.

• Proficient in at least two programming languages among Java, C/C++, C#, and Python.

• Experience with agile software development methodologies and practices, especially Scrum.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Capability to complete a drug screening and fitness for duty test, if applicable.

• Willingness to travel to client locations nationally and internationally.

• Experience in the passenger and freight rail sector is preferred.

• Understanding of IETMS rail domain protocols is advantageous.

• Experience with Node.js and JavaScript is preferred.

• Familiarity with Python is preferred.

• Experience in architecture design is preferred.

• Experience in AI/ML technologies is preferred.
