Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Participate in the ideation and documentation of new features and enhancements for products.

• Develop and enhance interactive React applications utilized by tens of thousands of veterinary purchasers, corporate hospital group owners, and animal health manufacturers.

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Create reusable components for the broader team’s use.

• Integrate new features into our React Native applications.

• Collaborate directly with our CTO and engineering team, along with other departments, to continually advance our platform and offerings.

• Operate in a fully remote setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in web application development.

• A Bachelor's Degree is required, ideally in Computer Science.

• Strong proficiency in at least one widely-used programming language, with a willingness to learn and improve in others.

• Proven experience in developing a successful production application using a modern web framework.

• Ability to design new features with a focus on data models, ensuring accuracy, security, and performance.

• Experience with databases and analyzing queries for optimization improvements.

• Proficient in JavaScript's features as both a prototyped and functional language.

• Good practices in software testing.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to quickly adapt and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

• A strong desire to contribute to our customers' success.

• A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.

• Familiarity with a backend language, an ORM, and creating API endpoints.

• Experience in a startup environment is an advantage.
