Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.

📋 Description

• Design scalable and maintainable full stack systems in alignment with Sharetec's Digital roadmap.

• Lead technical design discussions focused on modernization initiatives and the new Digital API integration layer.

• Assess and recommend frontend and backend tools, patterns, and architectural strategies.

• Promote secure-by-default design practices through code reviews, scanning, and testing procedures.

• Contribute to the establishment of API design standards and integration patterns.

• Create, test, and maintain high-quality features for Digital Banking web and mobile platforms.

• Develop iOS and Android applications utilizing React Native.

• Produce clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code in TypeScript, React, C#, and ASP.NET Core.

• Oversee the workflow from design and implementation through code reviews, testing, and production monitoring.

• Operate within Docker containerized environments and enhance CI/CD pipeline reliability.

• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other relational or cloud database systems.

• Achieve sprint commitments, identify scope risks, and ensure consistent delivery timelines.

• Engage in design reviews, code reviews, documentation, pairing sessions, Agile ceremonies, and ongoing process improvement.

• Assist with onboarding and provide mentorship to team members.

• Stay updated with tools and patterns pertinent to the Digital stack and roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven full stack ownership.

• High proficiency in React and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Next.js or a similar server-side rendering framework.

• Experience deploying production mobile applications to the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

• Proficiency in React Native; experience with native Swift or Kotlin is a plus.

• Strong backend development skills; a willingness to learn and work in C# is expected.

• Comprehensive RESTful API design and integration experience, including versioning, authentication, and external service integrations.

• Practical experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development or deployment environments.

• Experience contributing to or leading the modernization of an existing production system.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: Direct experience with C# and ASP.NET Core.

• Preferred: Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development experience.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, Radix UI, or MUI.

• Preferred: Background in financial services, fintech, or banking software.

• Preferred: Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS.

• Preferred: Experience with APIs for multi-tenant or platform-scale architectures.

• Preferred: Experience with Agile/Scrum workflows and distributed remote engineering.
