Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and implementation of high-performance data services within the product development team.

• Create scalable Python services to handle extensive healthcare datasets, including claims, providers, and patients.

• Apply NLP techniques for classifying medical texts, extracting entities, and managing coding crosswalks (ICD-10, CPT, DRG).

• Assist in enhancing payer and provider mastering pipelines to boost data accuracy and interoperability.

• Work collaboratively with data scientists and clinicians to develop features for the PurpleLab platforms.

• Ensure that solutions meet healthcare data privacy and security standards, including HIPAA and HITRUST.

• Enhance system performance and reliability for deployment on AWS cloud.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned to support business objectives and company goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Python development.

• Practical experience with NLP libraries such as spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, and scikit-learn.

• Knowledge of healthcare vocabularies including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and SNOMED-CT.

• Strong background in SQL and data warehousing.

• Demonstrated experience with high-volume data pipelines.

• Familiarity with APIs and microservices frameworks, including FastAPI, Flask, and Django.

• Proficient in Git, CI/CD practices, and Docker containerization.
