This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, launch, and continuously improve the React Native companion application for App Store and Google Play releases.
• Take ownership of the mobile application from architecture and instrumentation through to production launch.
• Collaborate with teams focused on web applications, APIs, and design to develop features for both web and mobile platforms.
• Deliver full-stack features utilizing accessible React user interfaces, type-safe APIs, GraphQL, and various data storage solutions.
• Assess architectural trade-offs and effectively communicate engineering decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure accountability for deployed software, including instrumentation, incident management, and post-incident evaluations.
• Enhance team performance through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
• Refine testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tools.
• Provide support to teams across the organization and collaborate cross-functionally across multiple product lines.
• Establish patterns and conduct reviews aimed at enhancing mobile and full-stack engineering quality.
• A minimum of 8 years of full-stack production experience.
• Proficiency in React, Node.js, TypeScript, modern cloud-native development, CI/CD, observability, and managing production systems.
• Experience with native mobile development on iOS or Android using React Native.
• Proven track record of building and releasing mobile applications to the App Store and Google Play.
• Capability to navigate app review processes, release strategies, and post-launch operational challenges.
• Strong system design abilities with a focus on reliability, scalability, failure modes, and maintainability.
• Proficient in reviewing AI-generated code using tools like Claude Code or Copilot, leveraging these tools to enhance workflow.
• Skill in identifying issues, implementing solutions, and integrating AI technologies.
• Experience in establishing technical direction and mentoring engineers within collaborative, asynchronous, distributed teams.
• Sound judgment regarding technical debt and project delivery priorities.
• Experience in developing accessible web applications compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
• Familiarity with oRPC/tRPC, Pulumi, and Better Auth is preferred.
• Background in accessibility-critical or heavily regulated environments is advantageous.
• Experience in optimizing data access across relational, NoSQL, and search systems is a plus.
