Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Direct the technical strategy of projects within a product development team.

• Supervise the design and execution of significant projects that align with business objectives and customer requirements.

• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to establish project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.

• Develop high-quality, efficient code while maintaining coding standards through thorough code reviews.

• Engage in strategic initiatives and standards as part of the Technical Authority Group.

• Guide engineers and promote a collaborative, inclusive team culture.

• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

• Shape strategic technical choices and the adoption of new technologies and processes.

• Take ownership of products and features developed by the team throughout deployment and ongoing support.

• Potentially oversee less experienced team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership or senior software development positions.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.

• Extensive expertise in Python and cloud computing environments.

• A product engineering mindset with an emphasis on the business impact of technical initiatives.

• Capability to lead diverse teams and effectively cooperate with a variety of stakeholders.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices.

• Proficient in some of the specified technologies and eager to learn others as necessary.

• Experience with AWS and GCP platforms.

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Vue.js, Django Rest Framework, as well as container-based and serverless architectures.

• Experience with MongoDB and DynamoDB databases.

• Knowledge of CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Celery, EventBridge, and DataDog.
