Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and implement software systems that enhance renewable energy and battery storage operations.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to incorporate machine learning and optimization models.

• Manage the entire software development lifecycle from architecture and design through to implementation and maintenance.

• Ensure that production systems are scalable, dependable, and high-performing.

• Identify bottlenecks, address real-time issues, and continually enhance system performance as well as monitoring and alerting.

• Keep abreast of developments in software engineering, renewable energy, and grid technology to foster innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly with large-scale, real-time systems.

• Strong expertise in Python, accompanied by excellent coding, testing, and debugging abilities.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining APIs, distributed systems, and data pipelines.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design and deployment.

• Excellent communication skills and the capability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including engineers, data scientists, and energy market specialists in a distributed working environment.
