Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Developing features or creating new microservices using Django or Flask+SQLAlchemy, while integrating with a NodeJS frontend or other internal Python or Rust-based microservices.

• Conducting tests in a local end-to-end testing environment.

• Committing code to GitHub for review and testing within GitLab CI.

• Drafting or updating Kubernetes charts and values for accurate deployment to the cluster.

• Collaborating with the team to launch work in production during the next scheduled release.

• Assisting a security expert in the creation and deployment of their microengine in the marketplace.

• Enhancing or developing the PolySwarm integration for a threat intelligence product.

• Designing new services or significant features, working closely with the team on design and implementation specifics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in production software engineering focused on building microservices (mainly in Python and Rust) within a cloud architecture.

• More than 5 years of experience in production software architecture and design.

• Familiarity with a LLM-assisted development environment.

• Skilled in using software debugging and testing tools.

• Proficient with Docker and Docker Compose.

• Experienced in managing Kubernetes deployments and distributed computing.

• Knowledgeable in databases, caches, and queuing systems.

• Comfortable working exclusively in a remote environment.

• Possess an analytical mindset.

• Confident in sharing your ideas.

• Capable of clearly articulating and documenting your concepts.

• Able to constructively critique your own ideas as well as those of your teammates.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• Proficient in teamwork and collaboration.

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
