Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Developing features or creating new microservices using Django or Flask+SQLAlchemy.

• Integrating with a NodeJS frontend or other internal microservices built in Python or Rust.

• Conducting tests in a local end-to-end testing environment.

• Committing work to GitHub for code review and performing testing in GitLab CI.

• Writing or updating Kubernetes charts and values for deployment purposes.

• Collaborating with the team to facilitate production deployments during the next release.

• Assisting a security expert in creating and deploying their microengine.

• Enhancing or building the PolySwarm integration for a threat intelligence product.

• Providing input on design and implementation details as the lead architect when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in production software engineering, focusing on building microservices (mainly in Python and Rust) within a cloud architecture.

• More than 5 years of experience in software architecture and design.

• Familiarity with a development environment that is assisted by large language models (LLMs).

• Skilled in software debugging and testing tools.

• Proficient in using Docker and Docker Compose.

• Experienced with Kubernetes deployments and distributed computing systems.

• Knowledgeable in databases, caching mechanisms, and queuing systems.

• Comfortable working exclusively in a remote setting.

• Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
