Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

• Create adaptable and maintainable solutions in accordance with established guidelines, requirements, and best practices.

• Address development challenges through sound design and practical expertise.

• Review, modify, enhance, and sustain existing systems.

• Resolve issues, address security vulnerabilities, and boost system performance.

• Engage in planning activities and analyze user stories.

• Provide constructive feedback and demonstrate comprehension of user requirements.

• Execute technical solutions to address business challenges leveraging robust design principles and best practices.

• Actively engage in and adhere to software development processes and methodologies.

• Document software modifications, best practices, and standards.

• Stay informed on tools, technology, programming best practices, and industry standards through ongoing training and development.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent education and work experience is required.

• Generally, 5+ years of experience in a professional technical setting is expected.

• 4 years of professional experience in software design and development is mandatory.

• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle; familiarity with Agile/Lean or Kanban is preferred.

• Broad knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Classic ASP, VB Script, Entity Framework, WPF, JavaScript, IIS, HTML, CSS, XML/XSLT, MSMQ, NServiceBus, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Git, or other source control tools is required.

• Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, or other source control tools is preferred.

• Experience in cloud development with Azure or AWS is an advantage.

• Capacity to work effectively within a team environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to teach and mentor fellow software engineers.
