This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver user-friendly and effective customer experiences via customer-facing web applications.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team, Product Managers, Designers, and the architecture team to create new customer experiences.
• Lead intricate system design and help shape the engineering vision.
• Conduct code reviews and guide the development team on best practices.
• Make crucial design and technical implementation decisions for complex systems.
• Define requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and convert them into scalable, reliable, developer-friendly microservice APIs.
• Design, construct, and sustain robust systems that support business applications.
• Enhance processes and procedures while promoting best practices.
• Participate in end-to-end compliance initiatives.
• Engage in technical design, develop new functionalities, and maintain existing components.
• Regularly manage protected health information in both paper and electronic formats.
• Complete necessary privacy, compliance, and security training.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience in building secure, scalable web applications using Java and other web technologies.
• Proficient in object-oriented programming with Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience in front-end development using React, Sass, and JavaScript is advantageous.
• Knowledge of microservice enterprise architecture and cross-platform integration.
• Background in developing scalable applications in diverse environments.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle processes, including build, software configuration, change control, release, and deployment.
• Strong skills in relational database design and optimization.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL programming; MySQL or PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as SQS, S3, and SNS.
• Experience with Docker or container-based technologies.
• Understanding of REST APIs and event-driven microservice architecture.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including React, Sass, Gulp, Rails, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• A mindset geared towards quality assurance.
• Demonstrated teamwork and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policies and procedures compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of employment.
