Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and manage robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Take ownership of features and systems from the technical design phase through to production.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, and the overall developer experience.

• Consistently elevate the quality of our codebase through careful engineering methodologies.

• Lead intricate technical projects from vague challenges to successful completion.

• Make architectural choices that balance immediate execution with long-term viability.

• Facilitate technical discussions and assist in establishing engineering best practices.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, collaborative coding, and technical support.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Customer Success, and other engineers to address customer challenges.

• Participate in discussions regarding the engineering and product roadmap.

• Work together with various teams as priorities shift.

• Assume responsibility for production systems and ensure positive customer outcomes.

• Spot chances to enhance our systems, tools, and engineering workflows.

• Take ownership of issues, not just tickets, and help provide clarity in uncertain situations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality production software.

• Strong foundation in software engineering and a grasp of systems from application code to infrastructure.

• Proven experience in taking products or significant features from initial concept to full production.

• Led technical initiatives involving multiple engineers and stakeholders.

• Made informed architectural decisions and can articulate the trade-offs involved.

• Solid backend engineering experience, including APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), databases (PostgreSQL or similar), authentication, and distributed systems principles.

• Familiarity working across modern web technologies and a readiness to contribute across the technology stack as needed.

• Experience with technologies similar to those we use. Our stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS, but we prioritize strong engineering fundamentals over specific framework experience.
