Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of the survey application, including design, development, deployment, and maintenance.

• Develop and sustain features using Ruby on Rails throughout the complete stack.

• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS (ECS, CloudFormation, load balancers, etc.).

• Create scalable and reliable backend systems while ensuring responsive user experiences.

• Adopt an AI-first approach to development.

• Assess and incorporate emerging technologies, such as voice AI and conversational interfaces.

• Track performance, resolve issues, and consistently enhance system reliability.

• Set best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment while working independently.

• Extensive experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Augment, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, etc.) in everyday tasks.

• Capability to guide, review, and validate AI-generated code rather than only generating it.

• Strong instinct for determining when and how to utilize AI versus manual implementation.

• Passion for integrating AI functionalities (e.g., voice, NLP, automation) into products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Robust experience with Ruby on Rails (5+ years preferred).

• Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for the application.

• Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, encompassing schema design, SQL query development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in full stack development (frontend + backend).

• Practical experience in building and deploying applications on AWS, including ECS (or similar container orchestration), CloudFormation (or infrastructure-as-code alternatives), load balancers, networking, and scaling strategies.

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining production-grade systems.

• Familiarity with voice AI platforms or conversational UX (preferred).

• Experience in frontend development, particularly with React and NextJS (preferred).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices (preferred).

• Experience in startup or early-stage product environments (preferred).
