Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement new functionalities for SELECT by DoiT.

• Work alongside founders and fellow engineers while contributing ideas to the roadmap and software architecture.

• Develop cost management features, including forecasts, anomaly alerts, and cost allocations.

• Create reusable and robust UI components for cost analysis.

• Establish data visualization tools for performance, query duration, and efficiency.

• Construct data pipelines and dbt models to reveal insights and opportunities.

• Enhance application reliability and performance.

• Recognize significant customer challenges and make sensible trade-offs.

• Take ownership of features from design and planning through to implementation, testing, and delivery.

• Iterate swiftly while maintaining a balance between speed and thoroughness.

• Contribute to collaboration, documentation, clear commit messages, and comprehensive testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing full-stack applications.

• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS, or a willingness to learn these technologies.

• Familiarity with system design principles.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough, and persistent.

• Ability to work effectively with adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing team environment.

• Experience with FinOps, cloud infrastructure cost management, data warehouse management, and observability is a plus.

• Background in an early-stage startup environment is advantageous.
