Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain the internal billing workflow platform’s VB.NET WinForms desktop application.

• Write and enhance T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent jobs.

• Spearhead the development of new features, system improvements, and performance optimization projects.

• Assist in migration planning toward a contemporary web-based architecture, including the evaluation of ASP.NET Core/Blazor.

• Create and uphold automated tests while increasing test coverage.

• Perform code reviews, mentor developers, and uphold coding standards along with audit protocols.

• Work alongside BI, Analyst, Processing, and Submission stakeholders to convert billing requirements into technical solutions.

• Contribute to technical design decisions for both the existing and future platform.

• Utilize Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent).

• Over 7 years of hands-on software development experience.

• Extensive practical experience with VB.NET, .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET Core Blazor, and Entity Framework Core.

• Solid hands-on experience in T-SQL and SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent job scheduling.

• Experience in developing and maintaining WinForms desktop applications, including MDI architecture.

• Proficient in writing and maintaining automated unit, functional, and regression tests within a .NET environment.

• Proven track record in designing, estimating, and delivering complex software solutions based on business requirements.

• Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring capabilities, and contributions to architectural decisions.

• Familiarity with Angular is an advantage.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and SonarQube or similar code-quality gating tools is a plus.

• Understanding of financial systems, financial processes, and billing/invoicing terminology is highly desirable.

• Experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
