Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +3 more countries.

• You will collaborate directly with stakeholders - no barriers, no ticket factory.

• Develop new features and enhance existing systems.

• At times, we prioritize fast shipping for learning, while at other times, we slow down to strengthen the foundation - you'll play a key role in determining the balance.

• You will have a genuine impact on architecture and product direction, beyond merely coding tickets.

• Assist us in embracing the latest AI advancements to accelerate our building and shipping processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Extensive backend experience with NestJS or Python (or a similar framework), along with practical AWS expertise from managing services in production.

• Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript - they are your primary tools, not just languages you’ve experimented with.

• You approach infrastructure as code - Terraform (or a comparable tool) is second nature to you, and navigating consoles makes you uneasy.

• You possess strong views on observability, supported by hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, structured logging, and effective dashboards and alerting during incidents.

• You understand when "good enough" is appropriate and when to invest in quality.

• You are a proficient problem solver - capable of deconstructing complex, ambiguous issues and delivering pragmatic solutions, rather than merely debugging existing problems.

• You contribute innovative ideas and challenge assumptions, rather than just executing tasks.

• You are genuinely curious about the product - eager to understand what we are building and why, not just picking up tickets and writing code.

• You thrive at the forefront of innovative coding practices. Whether it's Claude Code, Cursor, multi-agent setups, or MCP servers, you are utilizing and pushing the limits of whatever is new. We rapidly adopt effective solutions.

• However, you possess a solid understanding of how code and systems function. You can debug, reason through architecture, and contribute significantly to a codebase without relying on AI assistance.

• Strong work ethic - you take ownership of your work, deliver on your commitments, and do not require constant supervision.
