Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive the implementation of AI-first development methodologies throughout the engineering team.

• Assess and incorporate cutting-edge AI tools, frameworks, and APIs (including large language models and generative AI platforms) into CareMetx's product and platform architecture.

• Set internal standards and best practices for ethical and scalable AI integration.

• Keep abreast of the swiftly changing AI/ML landscape, introducing innovations to the organization and converting them into tangible product enhancements.

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems across the entire stack.

• Oversee the technical design of intricate features and platform capabilities, creating clear architectural documentation and ensuring cross-functional alignment prior to implementation.

• Manage multiple complex projects concurrently from inception through deployment and post-launch monitoring.

• Work closely with product management, UX, and business stakeholders to convert complex requirements into practical and elegant technical solutions.

• Provide technical mentorship and career guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.

• Track system health, analyze production logs and metrics, and lead incident response for critical issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience will also be taken into account.

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a Senior Engineer I or equivalent senior-level position.

• Proven success in leading complex software projects from initial concept through production deployment and ongoing support.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare technology sectors is highly preferred.

• Expert-level knowledge in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Node.js) and strong skills in front-end technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript, Angular).

• Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems.

• Hands-on experience incorporating AI/ML tools and LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) into production software to create AI-driven features and intelligent workflows.

• Strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar).

• Proficient in relational and NoSQL databases; skilled in data modeling, query optimization, and maintaining data integrity at scale.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins), observability platforms, and contemporary software delivery methodologies.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at deconstructing ambiguous, high-complexity issues into actionable engineering plans.
