This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Design, develop, document, test, and troubleshoot new and existing software systems and applications.
• Act as a technical authority on development projects.
• Engage in the complete software development life cycle, encompassing requirements analysis and design.
• Draft technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business needs.
• Support, maintain, and document software functionalities.
• Identify and assess new technologies for potential implementation.
• Analyze code, diagnose issues, and modify programs as necessary.
• Participate in software design discussions and evaluate user needs.
• Collaborate with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications.
• Collect stakeholder information and document functional, system, and data specifications.
• Create technical specifications or data models for new or updated applications and systems.
• Design, code, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and document integrated information systems.
• Develop and sustain internal systems and applications using various programming languages.
• Address defects, enhance functionality, and upgrade application components.
• Conduct testing, analysis, and debugging to identify and rectify issues.
• Create comprehensive test cases and evaluate test outcomes.
• Train or assist in training stakeholders and assess implemented technologies.
• Investigate new technologies and development tools.
• Support testing teams and offer technical troubleshooting assistance.
• Document system issues and their resolutions.
• Maintain configuration management.
• Execute other job-related tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, or four years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 4 years of software development experience is required.
• At least 3 years of IT experience with general development technologies such as C#, SSRS, SSIS, SQL coding, XML, or similar technologies like .NET, BI, or ERP.
• Familiarity and experience with all facets of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Capability to analyze and resolve complex logical problems.
• Ability to establish and maintain trust and working relationships with clients, business, and technology partners.
• Proficient in collaborating effectively with peers, subordinates, and superiors.
• Competence to multitask and prioritize a substantial workload in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Understanding of business operations and key business drivers, or a quick aptitude to develop that understanding.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, which may include evening, weekend, and holiday work.
• Must adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
• Must successfully pass background and pre-employment drug screening after receiving an offer and prior to hire.
• Individuals convicted of felony crimes involving dishonesty or breach of trust must obtain written consent from their state insurance commissioner to work in the insurance sector.
• Preferred team-specific skills include combinations of BizTalk, C#, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Grid, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, SQL, X12 EDI, FHIR, API creation, API Service, and Azure Databricks.
