Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of software solutions that align with business goals.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

• Perform code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.

• Contribute to the architectural design of software systems.

• Establish long-term architectural direction.

• Manage initiatives from concept through to production.

• Balance innovation, speed, quality, and regulatory requirements.

• Develop systems that enhance clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in large-scale or complex systems.

• Proficient in software development with experience in programming languages such as JavaScript and C#.

• Expertise in relational databases, specifically SQL Server.

• Proficient with REST APIs.

• Familiarity with commonly used frameworks including .NET, React, and Angular.

• Proficient in version control systems and software development tools.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Leadership qualities with a capacity to mentor and guide junior team members.

• Preferred: A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience in healthcare, clinical diagnostics, genomics, or NGS environments is preferred.

• Required technical skills include CI/CD practices, LIMS, SQL, MongoDB, C#, .NET, .NET Core, Java, Agile, API, RESTful APIs, SDLC, AWS, and React.
