Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and actively participate in all stages of product development, from ideation and architecture to implementation, testing, and continuous deployment.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth integration and timely delivery of features.

• Lead the design and implementation of RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration with various internal and external systems.

• Enhance application performance to guarantee low latency, high availability, and reliability.

• Engage in design and code reviews, ensuring compliance with coding standards and best practices.

• Perform comprehensive testing of backend components, write automated tests, and uphold high code quality and reliability.

• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance challenges within the backend infrastructure.

• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the development process.

• Contribute to the overall technical strategy and architecture of the product.

• Promote engineering excellence within the team, establishing standards for code quality, testing, scalability, and security.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Node.js, React, and TypeScript.

• Proven hands-on coding abilities, with a passion for developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.

• Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and contemporary development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps).

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can change rapidly.

• Nice to Have: Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services.

• Nice to Have: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
