Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and provide support for financial applications tailored for Aptys clients.

• Maintain, enhance, and offer support for existing products.

• Collaborate across departments to find solutions to customer challenges.

• Identify and escalate high-priority issues.

• Work alongside Development, Product, and Support teams to address issues throughout the software development life cycle.

• Create unit tests as well as higher-level tests.

• Assist in customer rollouts that involve thousands of users.

• Investigate QA and customer-reported issues, developing viable solutions.

• Design and construct robust, scalable solutions for customer workloads.

• Explore emerging technologies, tools, and utilities for product development and customer support.

• Engage regularly with Aptys clients.

• Diagnose and resolve issues in both customer and Aptys environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience in designing and developing e-commerce systems is mandatory.

• Proficient in .NET, ideally with a focus on C#.

• Extensive experience in developing ASP.NET applications.

• Strong background in developing and interfacing with web services, including WCF and Web API.

• Experience in SQL database design and development.

• Background in UI design and development.

• Proven ability to solve problems in complex environments.

• Familiarity with implementing unit tests and automated testing platforms.

• Experience with configuration management technologies.

• Capability to work under pressure to design and develop new or existing product features.

• Ability to work under pressure to resolve customer production issues.

• Competence to work collaboratively or independently.

• Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities is essential.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Self-driven and capable of adhering to standard processes and procedures.

• Preferred experience in payments such as checks, ACH, or credit cards, or other financial industry experience.

• Experience in scaling infrastructure in response to growing demand is advantageous.

• Strong interest in emerging technologies, particularly mobile and cloud solutions.

• DevOps experience with a focus on building and deploying infrastructure using cloud deployment methodologies.

• A Master's degree is considered a plus.
