Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement high-quality, robust, and scalable software solutions that support Amplify in creating and maintaining a top-tier learning platform.

• Write code (mainly for front-end components), including automated tests and related tools.

• Evaluate code produced by fellow engineers, applying your sharp eye for practical and elegant solutions to complex challenges.

• Work together with our DevOps team to develop, manage, and oversee our deployment processes and infrastructure.

• Ensure our software meets the needs of all students and functions reliably in real-world classroom settings.

• Engage in proactive testing and system monitoring to guarantee a positive experience for our end users.

• Participate in a collaborative learning environment within Amplify Engineering: reviewing peers' code and engaging in learning sessions to promote best practices and a strong engineering culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related degree or training.

• Over 3 years of professional software development experience.

• Knowledge of good software design and contemporary software engineering practices.

• At least 2 years of experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React).

• Familiarity with modern backend web technologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience navigating complex systems and extensive codebases.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and engage in self-directed learning.

• Capability to communicate technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
