Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and implement scalable, dependable, and user-centric solutions.

• Collaborate with teams to collect requirements, architect solutions, implement features, and perform unit testing.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, integrating them to boost innovation and efficiency within projects.

• Engage with various departments within Akamai to gather requirements and partner with architects to develop enterprise solutions that meet those needs.

• Create new features or enhance existing functionalities, managing the process from design through testing to deployment.

• Operate within an agile sprint environment to consistently deliver high-quality software on a regular basis.

• Participate in the enhancement and debugging of current applications.

• Measure, maintain, and optimize the performance of distributed systems.

• Mentor Junior Software Engineers on technical aspects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Be skilled in developing applications using Java, Spring, JavaScript, and databases.

• Have experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, Bootstrap, or ReactJS.

• Familiarity with one or more web programming languages, including Python, Perl, or PHP; exposure to AI technologies is advantageous.

• Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to present to diverse stakeholders.

• Proficient in using build tools and knowledgeable in Linux commands and Shell.
