Senior Software Engineer

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience, demonstrating strong senior-level, hands-on capabilities and a proven history of ownership from inception through to launch and operational phases.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations — you act swiftly, pose challenging questions, and take the initiative without prompting, all while balancing speed with sound engineering judgment.

• Preference for simplicity — experience in operating within or building towards a streamlined engineering culture that maintains high standards while intentionally limiting scope.

• Eager to harness AI for achieving results — proficient in using AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, and agentic workflows) and motivated to encourage their use within your team to enhance code quality, speed, and productivity of a focused team.

• Strong systems-thinking skills across public cloud infrastructures (preferably AWS), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and cloud data platforms (Snowflake or similar).

• Experience in regulated environments — direct involvement in sectors such as banking, payments, securities, healthcare, or other areas subject to external scrutiny, where your work includes creating examiner-facing documentation and making decisions.

• Comfortable serving as the technical representative of your work to non-engineering stakeholders — including Compliance, Risk, Finance, outside counsel, and examiners — and capable of documenting decisions to withstand audit reviews.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills — able to translate complex technical, regulatory, and operational concepts into clear narratives suitable for executives and non-technical audiences.
