Senior Software Engineer, Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop software testing tools that seamlessly integrate with engineers’ daily environments (e.g., Claude, VS Code, GitLab, Datadog, internal documentation, Slack chatops).

• Construct and maintain automated testing infrastructure that supports mobile, web, and backend engineering teams.

• Establish AI-enhanced software testing patterns and quality gates within our release management system.

• Monitor and evaluate AI usage, performance, and costs to aid the team and engineering leadership in understanding our impact and organizational maturity.

• Work in conjunction with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure AI workflows are designed to manage PHI and other sensitive data securely.

• Develop reusable examples, templates, and internal libraries that facilitate the adoption of AI-driven quality workflows by teams.

• Participate in training, documentation, and office hours that empower engineers, PMs, and designers to become proficient automated test users and collaborators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in a Software Engineering or SDET role.

• Recent hands-on experience with agentic model harnesses and automated test orchestration.

• Strong background in building and maintaining automated tests along with GitLab CI/CD workflows.

• Proficiency with at least one modern test automation framework (e.g., Playwright, Appium, Cypress).

• Extensive knowledge of versatile programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Javascript, Shell/Bash, Python).

• Familiarity with mobile app testing, API testing, and web testing.

• Experience in integrating and maintaining third-party QA and monitoring tools.

• Ability to collaborate across functions, translate real-world workflows into technical requirements, and clearly communicate trade-offs.
