Senior Software Engineer, Assessment Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of our new comprehensive Ed-Fi Assessment Outcomes API delivery system, overseeing data transformation, pipeline execution, and customer-oriented configuration tools.

• Enhance our AWS-based file delivery infrastructure for optimal performance.

• Provide support and enhancements for both internal and customer-facing user interfaces.

• Contribute to maintaining Ed-Fi certification compliance by managing field mappings, supporting certification testing, and advancing the system as standards evolve.

• Design and uphold custom data transformation models tailored to meet the specific reporting needs of our partnerships.

• Develop and enhance data quality tools to ensure that customers and partners can have confidence in the data they receive.

• Mentor colleagues and assist in establishing engineering best practices within a growing data delivery domain.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly focused on cloud-based data delivery and integration.

• Proficiency in advanced SQL and familiarity with contemporary ELT tools (e.g., dbt).

• Experience in designing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based data ETL pipelines that deliver data to external API endpoints and file systems.

• Proven track record of delivering data in compliance with industry-standard specifications and/or effectively maintaining data contracts.

• Experience in creating efficient, high-utility internal tools for teams that interact with customers.

• Familiarity with data quality tools, error reporting, and observability for data pipelines.

• A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product and customer-facing teams.
