Senior Software Engineer, Applications

📋 Description

• CentralReach is a premier provider of software solutions for autism and IDD care, specifically tailored for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and associated therapies.

• Contribute to the product's evolution by collaborating with the Product team to determine development priorities, then design and implement solutions within the Product Organization.

• Create and deploy essential application components, vital services, and integration layers.

• Set quality benchmarks and release standards.

• Define and advocate for best practices in AI-assisted software development.

• Develop product functionalities from inception to completion using Python, Next.js, and contemporary backend methodologies.

• Utilize advanced coding tools daily to enhance prototyping, refactoring, test generation, and documentation processes.

• Construct and sustain shared libraries, components, and service templates.

• Create internal tools, scripts, and agent workflows to enhance developer experience and automate various tasks.

• Ensure technical readiness for production, focusing on reliability, observability, performance optimization, and preparedness for incident response.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and DevOps to guarantee CI/CD processes, environmental consistency, scaling strategies, and secure data management.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with proven technical leadership capabilities.

• Solid experience in building and managing production distributed systems and backend services.

• High level of proficiency in Python; experience with Next.js/TypeScript for comprehensive full-stack delivery.

• Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools and agents on a daily basis (such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar).

• Experience in constructing or orchestrating agentic coding workflows (including multi-step automation, MCP integrations, and CI-integrated agents) is highly advantageous.

• Strong skills in system design, including APIs, data flows, integration patterns, and balancing performance with reliability.

• Familiarity with observability and operational excellence practices (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and incident response).

• Solid background in automated testing (unit, integration, e2e) and CI/CD practices.

• Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to product, design, and executive stakeholders.

• Experience in a healthcare SaaS environment is preferred.

• Understanding of multi-tenant architectures and enterprise access control models.
