Senior Software Engineer, Analytics Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and develop data tools and analytics products that empower data practitioners to explore and analyze information.

• Influence the future of AI-driven data analytics by enhancing Airbnb’s AI agent for Data and investigating advancements in AI technology.

• Create integrations between data products and Airbnb’s data platform ecosystem.

• Develop new functionalities that support workflows in Superset, the AI agent for Data, and Notebooks.

• Collaborate with data platform teams on integrating infrastructure.

• Interact with users, gather insights, collaborate with product managers, and oversee projects from inception to completion.

• Formulate and manage feature rollout strategies and migrations.

• Recognize opportunities for quality and architectural enhancements.

• Enhance testability, observability, and dependability.

• Conduct code reviews and evaluate technical designs.

• Provide light on-call support for users and team operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of full-time, relevant industry experience in building backend or fullstack applications.

• Practical experience with data, including SQL, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or development of internal data applications.

• Capability to lead cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and execution with partner teams and users.

• A commitment to high-quality code and robust systems, emphasizing observability and reliability.

• A strong interest in creating interactive user experiences and engaging with users.

• Experience in developing AI agents, context engineering, and AI harnesses is advantageous.

• Proficiency in frontend development using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React is a plus.

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Airflow, Spark, and Trino is a plus.
