Finance Analytics Engineering Manager – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of finance analytics engineering and automation utilizing Snowflake, SQL, workflow automation, controls, integrations, and downstream finance consumption.

• Convert finance requirements and approved business definitions into scalable technical solutions.

• Develop and sustain finance-ready consumption views, analytical models, reconciliations, and reusable datasets.

• Conduct hands-on SQL analysis, lineage tracing, impact assessment, and root-cause investigation across finance data flows.

• Establish and automate technical controls, reconciliations, data-quality checks, regression tests, monitoring, release validation, and recovery procedures.

• Spearhead finance automation and workflow engineering using tools such as Alteryx, Python, APIs, or similar platforms.

• Act as the primary technical partner for finance within the Data Engineering team.

• Assist in the technical architecture and deployment of AI-assisted finance workflows and analytical agents.

• Oversee and enhance finance automation engineering capabilities, including mentoring team members and improving backup coverage.

• Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, RevOps, Product, IT, and other teams to implement sustainable cross-system solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in FP&A, finance analytics, analytics engineering, financial data, automation, or a related technical finance role.

• Strong knowledge of finance or FP&A domains.

• Proficient hands-on SQL skills.

• Experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform.

• Background in data modeling, lineage analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and creating reporting- or consumption-ready datasets.

• Ability to transform ambiguous finance inquiries into reliable data responses.

• Experience in constructing analytical consumption layers, semantic or reporting-ready datasets, reusable views, or similar finance-facing data products.

• Proficient in building automated analytical workflows utilizing Alteryx, Python, dbt, APIs, or similar platforms.

• Working knowledge of production controls, testing, monitoring, documentation, change management, and root-cause analysis.

• Previous experience in people management or strong technical leadership.

• Experience in a SaaS or subscription business is preferred.

• Valued experience working alongside centralized Data Engineering teams.

• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, planning, HRIS, and reporting platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Anaplan, Workday, or Tableau is advantageous.

• Experience in data governance, semantic layers, metadata, lineage, or certification practices is appreciated.

• Valued experience in evaluating or deploying AI-assisted analytics, LLM, agent, or MCP-style workflows.

• Ability to comply with U.S. export controls.
