This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, architect, and develop advanced software systems, with the potential for 100% coding involvement.
• Offer daily technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Collaborate with technology leaders to define technological direction, manage patterns, and ensure system consistency.
• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to align technology delivery with the organization's objectives.
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts to maintain exceptional system reliability.
• Represent the organization in cross-departmental and vendor partner environments.
• Collaborate with various vendors on estimates, delivery schedules, and project timelines.
• Ensure the technological integrity and quality of vendor solutions across multiple projects.
• Lead delivery and provide technical guidance across an application suite.
• Strategize on technology optimization and modernization, including reducing technical debt.
• Identify and implement improvements in processes.
• Spearhead knowledge-sharing initiatives with internal teams and vendor partners.
• Act as a subject matter expert for complex application-environment components.
• Collaborate with architects regarding the use, retirement, and addition of enterprise technology.
• Provide high-level technical insights for projects involving intricate technology components.
• Establish and advocate for best practices, reusable components, and technology guidelines.
• Lead incident response and resolution for critical production issues, including root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
• Undertake special projects and organization-wide initiatives as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3–5 years in a senior or principal engineering role.
• An innovative mindset.
• Extensive coding experience with .NET Unified Platform V8 and .NET Framework 4.8.
• Experience with implementing workflow orchestration engines in microservice-based software architectures.
• Camunda Cloud experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge and application of advanced software engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
• Ability to design and implement innovative solutions that align with complex organizational goals.
• Strong customer orientation and capability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of the healthcare or PBM industry is preferred.
• Extensive experience working within a vendor partner model.
• Willingness to work outside of standard hours to meet critical project deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing work environments, and meet deadlines.
• Strong collaborative skills and experience working across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Java or React development experience is a plus.
