This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and take ownership of user-facing features using React and TypeScript, ensuring they are polished, accessible, high-performing, and ready for production.
• Establish the technical direction and quality standards for our frontend, while uplifting colleagues through mentorship and code reviews.
• Proficiently utilize AI and agentic development tools (such as Claude) to expedite processes and help establish best practices for AI-assisted development within the team.
• Occasionally engage with Go to build and enhance the backend services and APIs that support your features as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to design and implement new experiences from the initial concept to final delivery.
• Contribute to both product and technical roadmaps, as well as the overall direction of the engineering team.
• Create and maintain user-facing technical documentation that enhances understanding and encourages adoption of our products.
• Be a crucial part of shaping our engineering culture and upholding high standards throughout the organization.
• Over 7 years of demonstrated experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript, with a keen awareness of UX, performance, and accessibility considerations.
• Proven ability to work fluently with AI and agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude), along with a history of using them to deliver efficiently and enhance personal productivity.
• Leadership experience in setting technical standards, mentoring fellow engineers, and making significant technical decisions.
• A successful history of delivering high-quality, production-grade frontend solutions at scale.
• Working knowledge of Go (or the ability to quickly become productive in it) for backend services, which is secondary to your frontend responsibilities.
• Comfort with uncertainty and the ability to independently prioritize tasks based on business requirements.
• A customer-centric mindset with strong empathy for users.
• Preferred experience in fintech, fraud, compliance, risk, or regulated systems.
• Proficient in English, capable of engaging in both casual conversations and formal documentation.
• Familiarity with data tooling or pipelines is advantageous but not mandatory.
