This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, architect, and sustain distributed applications focusing on high performance, scalability, and security.
• Create backend services utilizing C#/.NET and TypeScript, alongside cloud APIs and responsive front-end applications using TypeScript/React.
• Develop and execute loosely coupled, independently deployable microservices leveraging AWS services such as DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Establish and uphold automated unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing across both microservices and UI layers.
• Implement and manage GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for backend services and front-end applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges in distributed systems, including issues related to service communication and performance bottlenecks in CPU, memory, network, and AWS.
• Instrument services utilizing OpenTelemetry or similar tools.
• Participate in defining SLOs and initiatives aimed at reducing MTTR.
• Collaborate with product managers, tech leads, and engineers to produce reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
• Convey technical decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated expertise in backend service development with C#/.NET.
• Proven proficiency in TypeScript and React for developing front-end user interfaces.
• Experience in constructing and managing software within on-premises/customer-hosted and cloud-native multi-tenant settings.
• Practical production experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, RDS, and SQS, or equivalent offerings from other cloud providers.
• Familiarity with microservices patterns, including service discovery, API gateways, messaging/queueing, and data partitioning.
• Background in automated testing across various levels.
• Strong skills in Git and hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD processes.
• Proficient troubleshooting capabilities for distributed systems in production environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architectures and AWS best practices.
• Knowledge of observability tools and methodologies, including OpenTelemetry, structured logging, distributed tracing, and metrics-based alerting.
• Familiarity with Docker and CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Experience in performance tuning and designing scalable solutions.
• Background in scientific instrument software or Chromatography Data Systems is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong collaborative abilities in cross-functional team settings.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
