This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, model, and implement graph data structures that effectively capture intricate system relationships, workflows, and time-sensitive processes utilizing Neo4j, Gremlin, or similar tools.
• Construct and integrate back-end systems for web applications and contribute to front-end development as necessary to deliver comprehensive, production-ready features.
• Develop and sustain robust ETL and data pipelines that encompass structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, maintaining a strong emphasis on data quality.
• Engineer real-time and event-streaming workflows capable of managing high-velocity, sequential data streams.
• Deploy and manage enterprise applications within cloud environments using containerization and orchestration, while implementing DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps methodologies.
• Utilize GenAI/ML techniques, including GraphRAG, to address graph-related and NoSQL data challenges.
• Create comprehensive unit, integration, and API tests to guarantee robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Conduct simulations and employ advanced analytics in Python to tackle complex mission challenges.
• Align data engineering strategies with large-scale interconnected systems to ensure they are adaptable and scalable.
• Active Secret/TS/SCI clearance (or SCI-eligibility), preferably with prior or current DoD SAP/SAR access.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, or mathematics) or equivalent experience, with 7–8 years of pertinent experience.
• Demonstrated expertise with graph databases and analytics, including Neo4j, Gremlin, or similar tools, and query languages such as Cypher or Gremlin; capability to model intricate system relationships, workflows, and time-dependent processes.
• Strong programming proficiency in contemporary languages like Python, Java, Node.js, or Go, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Experience in building and integrating back-end systems for web applications, along with contributing to front-end development as required.
• Extensive background in data engineering and pipelines, including ETL, data quality, and working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data; familiarity with event streaming, real-time data processing, and high-velocity sequential data flows.
• Practical understanding of software engineering best practices, including DevOps, DataOps, MLOps, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks and cloud platforms, focusing on deploying enterprise applications in cloud environments.
• Strong testing capabilities, including unit testing, integration/API testing, and ensuring robust, scalable solutions.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and tackling graph-related issues, including the application of GenAI/ML techniques like GraphRAG.
