Senior Software Development Engineer – Test (SDET)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the test strategy and execution for one or more feature areas, collaborating closely with the cross-functional team to achieve our quality goals.

• Create intricate IT configurations to assess product capabilities in environments that closely resemble production.

• Engage in all facets of manual and automated test verifications, including feature and functional testing, as well as load, performance, and regression testing.

• Conduct root cause analysis for bugs and collaborate with the development team to address them effectively.

• Work as an integral member of a scrum team to deliver exceptional software and foster a culture that prioritizes quality.

• Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance our processes to increase test coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of combined experience in software development, QA, and test automation.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an SDET or Automation QA Engineer, responsible for defining test strategies, designing test patterns, and executing tests of varying complexity for commercial SaaS products.

• Proficient in Python and familiar with testing frameworks such as PyTest.

• Knowledge of PHP, Python, and/or Golang with respect to incorporating automation tests.

• Experience in automating tests for API and RESTful architectures.

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices, including experience with GitHub and CI pipeline automation tools.

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
