This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage scalable, highly available backend services utilizing C#/.NET within Azure and Kubernetes environments.
• Create secure methods that enable internal services to connect with various cloud service providers.
• Enhance platform supportability by providing self-service tools for end users and empowering other service teams with these tools.
• Architect event-driven, asynchronous systems across microservices.
• Take ownership of the entire delivery process, including Terraform infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and incident response in production.
• Collaborate effectively with product management, UX designers, and other platform teams.
• Actively engage in code and design reviews.
• Utilize AI and coding agents to design, write, and critique code.
• Report directly to the Director of Engineering, Platform Intelligence.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with C# .NET and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in C#, Cosmos, SQL Server, ADX, .NET, Angular, TypeScript, Go, Python, and Terraform.
• Practical experience with Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot complex cross-service issues utilizing telemetry tools like Datadog RUM.
• Hands-on experience in integrating AI/ML systems using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• In-depth understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and privileged access control.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven capability to lead and mentor in a collaborative team setting.
• Experience with application registration, API keys, SPIFFE, or Workload Identity Federation.
• Background with SaaS products operating in a cloud environment like Azure.
• Knowledge of observability frameworks such as Datadog RUM and Grafana.
• Previous experience in AI-enhanced security, automated policy enforcement, or data compliance management.
• Demonstrated success in Agile software development and continuous delivery environments.
