Senior Software Development Engineer – Iris AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage cloud services that power Delinea's AI functionalities.

• Create scalable and highly reliable backend services leveraging Azure and Kubernetes.

• Develop features powered by LLMs, including model integration, context pipelines, RAG, tool invocation, agents, and evaluations.

• Architect event-driven, asynchronous systems across microservices.

• Take ownership of the delivery process from start to finish, incorporating Terraform, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response in production.

• Work collaboratively with product, UX, and platform teams.

• Engage in code and design reviews.

• Utilize AI coding tools to design, develop, and review code.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and building production backend services using C#/.NET, Python, or Go throughout the complete software development lifecycle.

• Practical experience in developing products with LLMs, including inference, structured outputs, RAG, tool invocation, or agents.

• Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Anthropic API, or similar platforms.

• Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.

• Understanding of specification-driven development, careful contextual consideration, and verified, tested outputs.

• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, API design, and microservices architecture.

• Experience with a leading cloud service provider.

• Comprehension of multi-tenant SaaS architecture and the ability to operate at scale.

• Experience with AI-agent tools, APIs, integrations, MCP servers, function/tool-calling interfaces, or plugins.

• Background in ML and MLOps, including fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and production model deployment/evaluation.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

• A background in identity security, PAM, or Zero Trust principles.
