Senior Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Contribute as a member of an Agile Product Team to create high-quality, user-friendly products for customers and stakeholders within the Claims organization for the Aetna business.

• Inform business and technology teams about the Agile development methodology.

• Develop products from the initial discovery and framing stages through iterative development and delivery.

• Uphold a user-centered and business-priority mindset in design practices.

• Write frontend and backend code adhering to industry best practices.

• Produce efficient, optimized, user-friendly, and reusable code.

• Plan, deliver, and provide support for software applications.

• Implement test automation as part of the software development lifecycle.

• Integrate AI into the software development and delivery processes.

• Collaborate effectively with product team members and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software development experience in enterprise applications.

• More than 5 years as a full stack developer using Java-based technologies, including microservices, FAST API, Spring Boot framework, and REST.

• At least 4 years of experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Proficiency in developing applications with cloud technologies.

• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with relational databases like AWS RDS or AWS Aurora.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

• More than 3 years of practical experience in building CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Capability to establish effective engineering practices and processes in design and development.

• Over 3 years of experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience).

• Expected weekly work hours: 40.
