Senior Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and uphold scalable, high-quality software solutions that support essential digital platforms.

• Assume technical responsibility for intricate backend services.

• Provide mentorship to engineers both within and across various teams.

• Collaborate effectively with product managers, architects, and other key stakeholders.

• Deliver solutions that prioritize security, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure that services comply with security and privacy regulations.

• Enhance developer workflows, system reliability, and operational excellence.

• Participate in technical decision-making and elevate engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend/server-side engineering, primarily using Node.js.

• At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing services.

• More than 2 years of experience in building distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-based applications.

• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.

• Practical experience with feature flags, caching methods, and CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with AWS services.

• Experience with microservice architectures and third-party dependencies.

• Understanding of automated testing methodologies.

• Solid knowledge of software architecture and infrastructure fundamentals.

• Proven technical leadership and the ability to work independently.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile setting.

• Experience with agile testing methodologies (ATDD, BDD, SBE).

• Knowledge of domain-driven design and service interoperability.

• Experience in mentoring or guiding teams on testing and quality assurance practices.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).
